The host was very kind and very friendly. She greeted us with whisky when we arrived, and told us the story of Gordon House. She also gave us a good recommendation for dinner (as she doesn't provide it herself on weekdays anymore). The room was clean, and everything was as described. The building is old, so don't expect fancy modern interiors, but everything is clean and the owners constantly work on improving it. And I must mention that the full Scottish breakfast was very good.

We had a truly amazing stay at Argyle Guest House and would definitely recommend this place to everyone! We were given a superb room that was spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious and Dianne made us feel very welcome during our stay. Everything is done with a lot of attention and care and it shows, so this is not just your regular B&B, but an experience on its own.

Nice hostel, had it all for myself which was a bit eerie but no surprise that time of the year. Bedrooms were okay, bit squeeky but else. Community room was nice and spacious, very big kitchen. The location is also nice, a lovely village with all you need. Visit the Whisky castle if you like whisky

We spent three nights at this amazing guesthouse, and it was a truly delightful experience. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. It really felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. Every morning, we could choose from an extensive menu, allowing us to try something different each day. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She provided us with many useful tips about the local area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The shared living room and garden were also great additions, giving us a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Moreover, the location was perfect—centrally located, making it easy to access all the attractions and activities in the area. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. From the moment we entered the house we felt comfortable and when Isla came through the door, we felt more than welcome. She is such a nice, heartly and understanding host. The room was exceeding expectations, clean, perfectly equipped and the bed was all we needed after hiking. It was perfect! The breakfast was hollistic. There is a buffet and also the option to get pancakes or original british breakfast and it was delicious. Self-made orange jam! What I liked most was the fact that glutenfree was no problem. Isla was well informed and I did not feel downgraded but had a delicious gf breakfast. Thank you Isla, we had the best stay at your house and from the very first moment we regretted not to have booked a longer stay. Whenever we plan to come back, we ' ll definitively come to your place! Stay safe and healthy!
