Absolutely love the decor and standard of furniture, fixtures and fitting of this beautifully refurbished Georgian house. Extremely well decorated and furnished, spacious, with a large bar area, large restaurant with linen tablecloths, and a separate dining area for four-legged friends. Good to know that pets are welcome and are catered for, but those without pets can dine in a separate area. Bedroom (No. 7) was beautifully furnished, spacious with very comfy super king size bed and lovely walk-in shower room with a hot powerful shower. We didn't dine in the restaurant in the evening but we both had a scrumptious breakfast in the morning. Most importantly, the staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive. Finally, the price for B&B for two was very reasonable. What's not to like ??? Highly recommended !!!

Lovely bedroom, big comfortable bed with a firm mattress (unlike many guesthouses where you sleep on a squashy foam mattress in a wooden frame). The house dates back to the 17th century. A quaint and beautifully decorated cottage with such thoughtful finishing touches and colour schemes. We had a very comfy stay on a rainy night, the place warmed up very quickly with heaters. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped and we enjoyed the fresh eggs. We loved the privacy most, having purchased ingredients to make dinner in the local Co op just up the road, we made dinner and breakfast and liked being somewhere so peaceful. We would definitely stay again, using it as a good stop off point between Blackpool and Sutherland. Would love to know what colour blue the kitchen was painted, inspiration for home? Thank you Neil and Kathryn for being perfect hosts and we will be back in the future.

The facilities for motorcyclists are superb, with secure parking, cleaning and some maintenance facilities, even little garages for motorcycles for £2/night that might be useful if the weather is bad. Also drying facilities for clothes although I did not need this. The advice on routes will make this a future touring centre for me. The room was comfortable with en-suite bath/shower and tea/coffee facilities. The food was tasty with a good selection at breakfast. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

The hotel was well situated right in the middle of town and there is free parking directly outside. We arrived just after 8pm and the kitchen was about to close but they allowed us to order. The room was very spacious and clean.

The cottage was cosy and spacious with all facilities. My host was very helpful. The cooked breakfast was excellent. Everything spotless. The shower great, and bed comfortable. Plenty of safe secure parking.

A fantastic find, gorgeous cottage in the centre of Moffat. Really thoughtful hosts, lots of little touches and attention to detail. Surprisingly spacious downstairs and up, and right in the town for bars and eating. Great venue for walking, you can literally access country walks within ten minutes of the front door. We also parked right outside for free for the duration, failing that there is free parking within 50m. Totally recommend, property and hosts’ comms were both first class.

Very central, easy to find, minutes walk from the Main Street. Plenty of free parking. Very clean and tidy. Bed very comfortable, bathroom well laid out.

A single night stay. Check-in is done at the bar, which can be a bit busy, but was easy from the booking. Rooms are upstairs which has outside stair access as the main photo shows. Consider this if less able. Room was large and had the usual toiletries and tea/coffee facilities. An evening meal was of good quality and I would suggest booking in advance as both guests and local diners make it busy. A large gravel car park gives free parking with a few campervans allowed to stay as guests.
