This review is for ‘room 1, bridal suite, red room’. The room is bigger then my apartment. I thought I was a lady in an episode of Brighton. The bed was huge, the must need at least 2 people to make the bed. The manor house is set in beautiful forest on top of hill with beautiful views. An golden eagle landed in front of my car while I was driving up to the house. They are definitely underselling this and the photos don’t do it justice. You enter into your own hallway, to the left is the enormous red bedroom with period features and furniture. Down the hall to the right your sitting room. In the middle right the main entrance is the bathroom. The toilet has the best view 😂. Staff is super nice and helpful. Beef stew at diner was delicious, set next to a local neighbor that eats there every Friday night. I especially loved the music the young staff had on, it felt cosy.

There was off street parking available. While Dumfries Villa is an old building - the room was clean and comfortable. The location was good - to where we could walk to a good pub for dinner. The breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. The staff were helpful & polite. So overall a good experience.

House very clean and well presented. Beds very comfortable. Not too long a walk into Dumfries town centre. Owner lives next door but she left us to do our own thing. Great off street parking in a lovely quiet area. Lovely welcome pack of breakfast items left for us.

Flat in great location for town. Spacious living area for four people with free parking opposite accommodation. Host very quick to respond. Would recommend for visit to Dumfries.

Excellent breakfast and service. Room very clean and serviced each day. Bed comfortable. Nice grounds and plenty of free parking space on the property. It was within 25 minutes walking distance from the town centre. Most town car parks appeared to be free if a car journey there was preferred.

Great location with it just a short walk over the bridge into the centre. Apartment was comfy and cosy with everything in good working order. Plenty of free parking although it wasn’t obvious that the car park mentioned in the property description was the one we actually used as there are no signs, so maybe a photo or a really clear description would be helpful to add and avoid doubt for those of us who aren’t used to free parking. We really enjoyed our first visit to Dumfries and would recommend this place to others.
