The location was fantastic, situated almost in the forest with walks straight from the house, with beautiful gardens attached to the house. All facilities are modern and well maintained. The kitchen is large and well equipped very suitable for family self catering and the bathroom large and comfortable. Our stay was made even better thanks to the warm welcome and friendly neighbourliness of our host.

The Studio is located in the most beautiful grounds of a house mired in history. The house and grounds are breathtaking and the resident peacocks (including a rare white one) only make this place more enchanting. The Studio itself is beautifully furnished with cleverly chosen items of furniture perhaps to give you an inkling of what grandeur lies in the main house. The Studio kitchen is well and expensively equipped. There is a lot of space for clothes, cases, boots etc. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and provided a far too generous welcome basket filled with goodies that reflected the whole ethos of country living. We loved the game crisps with a glass of red and the locally baked brown loaf with an oozing local Brie. Alas we were not able to enjoy the eggs provide by the hosts’ chickens as our stay was far too short. All in all we had a lovely stay in a wonderfully unique accommodation.

7 The Walks was full of character and was very comfortable. Really comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms, a large kitchen and large comfortable lounge.Very clean and well equipped, e.g. a proper washing-up cloth rather than the usual j-cloth! I loved the old-fashioned toilet with the pull chain which reminded me of my childhood at my grandmother’s house. I also loved the wonky floors and the first floor bedroom with the low beamed ceiling and the old wooden bed in it (very comfortable mattress). It was lovely to wake up in the morning with a ‘lost in time’ feeling. Parking wasn’t a problem. Two close lovely walks to the right and left.
