I absolutely loved my stay at the Beechtree Cottage! The Scottish beach house atmosphere was simply wonderful, everything was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished, and tastefully decorated. What made our stay truly special was our host, David, who welcomed us with such warmth and went out of his way to help us get a table at a nearby restaurant, where we were also warmly received. The breakfast was an absolute highlight, incredibly delicious, lovingly prepared, and presented with such elegance and attention to detail. You could truly feel the care and dedication in every part of the experience. Even though I may not have the chance to return anytime soon, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place – and I can only wish for every traveler to meet such a kind and thoughtful host.

Everything was great! Location perfect, in the woods, small cozy cabin with nice views, shared bathroom in excellent clean condition and a lovely traditional kitchen. Nathan has been super helpful too and very friendly. Will definitely go back for more days!

This place is amazing. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is worth the journey even if you're not staying at the hotel. I discovered it last year when I was doing the Cateran trail and popped in to see if I could pitch my tent in the field they use for campervans. I ended up having a meal and a few drinks and it was so good I decided to come back this year when doing the Cateran trail again and stay in the hotel this time. The restaurant is only open on limited days, and is worth booking in advance. They have a self serve breakfast with various items and I believe they do microwave meals for guests when the restaurant isn't open. It's a rural hotel off the beaten track a bit but it's well worth the trip. There are plenty of walks and nice scenery around and it's a short drive to glenshee. Please support the hotel so it can remain open for me to come back!! :)

We loved every minute spent here. The room is in the same house with the owners, but separate entrance, so full privacy. It's an elegant tipycal scottish cottage, spotless clean and comfortable. We found everything we needed and more: tea, coffee, cookies, soft drinks and fresh fruit. Owners are fantastic and they make you feel like home. We spent the evening with them and their two gorgeous and lovely dogs and received so many great tips for our trip. Filip prepared an amazing breakfast next morning. They are really, trully great people and excellent hosts!
