The place is just marvelous - up in the hill, overseeing wundervoll nature. You sleep in enchanting cabins, sitting on the terrace in the middle of a national park with a fire at your side, using the wood-fired sauna and whirlpool. Brian and Gillian are wonderful hosts. The road up was a bit bumpy, but we were welcomed by a very nice dog ;-) and the host was very friendly. The place is very nice and calm. The room was classy, clean and the bed and shower were very good! The breakfast we ate at the picknick table in the sun was very delicious. If we come back to Scotland and are in the area looking for a place to stay, we definitevly go here.

The location of the apartment is perfect for anyone coming to Balloch by car as it's very central. There is a spot in a dedicated underground parking as well as plenty of on street parking or within a two min walk there is a large public car park. If you are using public transport, you are positioned less than a 5 min walk from the train station or the bus station. The apartment is also situated at a lovely little bridge where you will find options of different well organised boat tours at a reasonable cost. The apartment is also less than a five minute walk to a park as well as a nice walk along the water. When it comes to the local area you have absolutely everything you need no matter the type of group you are with. If you decide to self cater you have great local shops and large coop supermarket with all that you need including fresh amazing local produce at great prices. You also have all sorts of takeaway shops on offer in the local area. If you prefer to eat out, you have so much choice on offer and many different types of restaurants, pubs, bars and cafes with inside and outside seating suitable for a visit any time of the year all within walking distance. The best part is that you won't want to leave the gorgeous, spacious apartment. Wow! You could not want for more. Christine has created a home away from home and more. The decor and amenities are just what you would hope for in a holiday let. You even have your own large balcony with a bbq. Absolutely everything provided (including milk in the fridge :-) is carefully considered to make your holiday perfect and everything is of high quality, well-maintained and spotless. Everything is well explained around the apartment and if needed Christine offers to be available if from the booking right through to the end of your stay. Christine has very thoughtfully put together a manual to support with information for the apartment and the local area.
