The property was practical and cute, in a renovated stone outbuilding belonging to a nice family. They run a husky-sledding business but the gîte is on a different part of the property and we didn’t see or hear any dogs (but if we had had more time I would have liked to).The gîte has 3 bedrooms: 2 with double bed, 1 with bunk beds and a nice bathroom with a good shower. Towels and sheets were included as well as final cleaning but the usual tidying is expected before leaving. Dogs are allowed which is fantastic and the floor is tiled throughout so bring a dog bed or mat. There was an additional bed sofa in the central living/dining room. It has a dishwasher, microwave, cooker, kettle, fridge, TV and free parking. There is a table and chairs outside too. We felt at home right away. The hosts were really nice and gave us extra sheets so that we could spread out. If you are driving from Switzerland to the south-west coast of France then this gîte lies perfectly at the mid-way point. It isn’t too far from the highway, but you feel as though you are in another world, surrounded by rolling hills and farms. We were lucky to get the gîte for one night, I think people usually stay longer.

This is a beautiful country house in a stunning part of France. The owners were amazing - loaning us swimming towels and being as kind and helpful as they could. The breakfast every morning was the best we’ve ever had - every kind of bread with home made jams and eggs from their own hens! Also a great shower and comfortable beds. Highly recommend this place if you get a chance to visit!

We had a truly wonderful stay at the charming Chatêau Giat. We felt so warmly welcomed — the hospitality was outstanding and incredibly genuine. Although on the photo, the room appeared smaller, it was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, with high-quality bedding and linen that made for an exceptionally restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was generous and sumptuous. It was thoughtfully laid out and especially served with such care. The entire atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a perfect balance of warmth and flexibility that made us feel completely at home. Simply, yet perfectly furnished apartment with modern yet appropriately sourced and placed decorative pieces. Very comfortable bed and white linens (the best for rentals) & a great shower. The cleanliness was next level which was perfect for my OCD! All you could need was provided in the kitchen & dining space. We will be sure to stay again and in the Spring/Summer the out door space would be amazing too. Also you have access to the owners veg patch with permission! Amazing! Very thoughtful owners with many more developments to come. If you are in the area, it's a must stay!
