We stayed at Melanie’s gîte in Teillay for one night and were absolutely blown away by the warmth of her welcome and the beauty of the property. Everything was spotless, peaceful, and thoughtfully prepared—perfect for a relaxing stopover. The breakfast was also outstanding. For just 9 euros, we were treated to a generous and delicious spread: locally sourced bread and croissants from the village boulangerie, cereals, milk, yoghurt, fresh oranges for squeezing, quality ham, and a lovely assortment of jams. It was the perfect start to the day. If you’re looking for a place with genuine hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and someone who truly cares about her guests, look no further. Highly recommended!

We (family of 4 with 2 teenage kids) drove from Cherbourg to Biarritz and looked for a suitable place en route for an overnight stop at a budget price and were extremely lucky to find Pied à Terre. The gites are lovely barn conversions finished to an extremely high standard with everything you might need. Very clean and comfortable! We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening, taking in the panoramic views of the Brittany countryside and local wildlife. We liked it so much that we booked a gite for both the outward and return journeys - a different one each time but both as good as the other. We only stayed 1 night each time but would happily return and stay for longer. Thanks Nicolas and Johanna for the warm welcome and comfortable stay. Exceptional value for money.

The accomodation was perfect, very nice and clean room and bathroom. The host was very attentive and provided a very good breakfast. The garden was very nicely with a nice terrace! It was the second time I was there and I will surelely come back if i need to stay in the region !

Very convenient location for exploring Chateaubriant by foot. Very clean, tidy and smart apartment. The bed is very comfortable and the kitchenette ergonomic which came with bread and jam supplied by the owner.
