Yvette is a joy! What a lovely helpful person she is. Nothing was too much trouble. We had hire car problems and Yvette helped us sort them out. When we were not sure if we could resolve the issues, Yvette offered to drive us to the airport! Breakfast was very good; more than enough food. The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean and pleasant. When we return to the area we will definitely be staying with Yvette (If she'll have us).

We were greeted very warmly after our long journey from Dublin. The room was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed, including tea and coffee facilities plus a generous ensuite bathroom. The heating was on, so it was warm and cosy despite the cold weather outside. Norma was a wonderful host and not only served amazing breakfasts but also had great local knowledge. We will definitely be back!

A beautiful old property, full of character, currently being renovated to a high spec, by the owners Dawn and Chris. A real gem in the heart of rural France. Dawn and Chris were so welcoming and friendly & could not have been more helpful. We met ‘the boys’ on arrival too - the owner’s alpacas - which make this property unique. Our breakfast the following day - after a wonderful night’s sleep in a very comfortable bed - was amazing. It was delivered to the bedroom in a wicker picnic basket by Chris. We enjoyed real tea, orange juice, overnight oats, cereals, croissants, pain au chocolate and fresh fruit. A veritable feast. We would love to return in the future and can’t thank Dawn and Chris enough for their hospitality.

Absolutely the best hosts we have come across. Very clean and good value for money. Lovely thick towels and facecloths. They cooked us a really lovely meal as most places were closed in Ruffec.
