This is a great place: -very short walk from the ferry (5 minutes maximum) -Elephantine Island is atmospheric & relaxed compared to Aswan or Luxor -Mango House is impeccably clean -Very convenient beverage freezer in lobby that you can buy drinks from. Can order delicious meals to eat in garden -Good Wi-Fi -Clean & comfortable beds. Heater in room. Clean bathroom and good shower. -Good rooftop, under construction on roof right now but that didn’t take away from the good views and comfort -If you leave Aswan by plane, I’d recommend booking your flight 8.30 AM or after. The first ferry to leave Elephantine is at 6 AM. I took that, caught a cab on the other side, and got to the airport (which is a bit out of town) with plenty of time.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at Dolty Kato Nubian House. Located at the very heart of the Nubian village, this hotel has exceeded my expectations by all metrics. The staff was very attentive to my needs (special shout-out to Ms. Somaya at the reception and Mr. Sameer the manager) and was reachable 7/24. If you want a tour to Abu Simbel, or an authentic massage, or a boat trip, they will arrange it for you in a few minutes. The view from the rooms are amazing, they are right on the Nile. To sip my morning coffee while watching the boats on the Nile was a great experience. The food they serve was also quite authentic (Nubian cuisine) and tasty. Overall, it was worth the every penny I spent there.

Small but very nice place. The owner do everything for your comfort. Organized all i wanted and every moment ready to help. Hotel is on island but he taked me and bringed back by bot. Nile in Aswan is amazing. Car trip from Hurgada to Aswan continue 8 hours but its worth. Thanks a lot to you, your wife and Asra (dont know how to write his name correct sorry) for my safe, welll organizedand nice being there!

The host was amazingly friendly, even inviting us to his nieces engagement party while we were there and we got to experience some authentic Nubian food! The location is great, much quieter than staying on the east bank but also just a short and very cheap ferry ride over to the hustle and bustle. The room was nice and clean with a bathroom, ceiling fan, heaps of cupboard space, supplied towels and a really comfy bed. Would definitely reccomend!

This is a family-run place. They are very attentive and kind to their guests. They gave us a lovely welcome with a smoothie and also gave us a lovely breakfast to take away because we were leaving very early for Abu Simbel. The place is a 10. The shower was hot and the people were very kind. A breath of fresh air from Egypt.

I arrived here at midnight, and the staff warmly assisted me in catching a boat to the hotel, as it is located on a small island opposite the city. This place is peaceful and picturesque.
