great location, good outdoor facilities (hammocks etc), really nice & well stocked bar. rooms booked weren’t available so had different rooms to what was expected.

Fantastic situation, it is at only 8 minutes walk from the village Mindo on a flat road.... In Mindo we could rent electric bikes and electric quads to get around.... The suites are surrounded of nature ans we were delighted of the colibris, toucans and colorful butterflies flying around us... the pool and the jacuzzi are very clean and pleasant.... the breakfast was very nice as well

Everything was perfect. Leo was amazing kind and helpful with things to see and do. Even went out of his way to get the ingredients for our favourite cocktail.

Friendly service. Bird watching tour was excellent. Lots of birds can be seen from the room itself and from the dining room. We travelled with four and enjoyed an excellent dinner.

El Descanso is trully a hidden gem in Mindo. It is composed of two major wooden buildings around a secured yard. We especially loved the architecture of the buildings as it is authentic and lovely to watch. Its pergola where we ate really tasty breakfast is also the best spot to watch birds, hummingbirds and small forest animals. We did not expect that and it was the best spot in Mindo! The accomodation is very well maintained and the owner Rodney was always there willing to help us. We really spent lovely 4 days there and would definitelly like to come back again anytime in the future.

The apartment was amazing with an incredible view overlooking the forest. The hotel was located very close to the main section of town - we chose to mostly walk, however taxis were available if needed. The food was very nice, both breakfast and dinner. The host and staff at the hotel were very helpful and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely stay again. - Luke and Mary

Quiet location just one block back from the main centre, but with no main roads near the property. The place is modern, clean and beautifully designed. Breakfasts were amazinggg! The pool looked great although we didn’t use it
