Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. I loved staying at Margarit Boutique Hotel, it was a highlight of my seven week trip. The hotel is spotlessly clean, so comfortable, and so much thought has gone into the beautiful design. I literally watched the hummingbirds and other varieties for hours. It’s in a peaceful location on the edge of the town, felt very safe and walkable for a solo traveller. It was easy to get to from Quito Airport, and the perfect place to relax before or after an active adventure tour! They had lots of activity suggestions, and the breakfast was my favourite of my trip. Margarit and all the staff are lovely, shoutout to Ana and Valeria <3 Thank you team for a wonderful visit!

Staff of the guesthouse did the very best so we felt very welcomed. Good location in Mindo, near the river. Breakfast in outdoors terrace in the garden is wonderful. Experience to see hummingbirds was unbelievable!
