The stay at Mindo Bird Lodge was excellent. The room may not have been 5 star, but it was comfortable and close to the action. The birds are all around. you can sit under cover and have birds fly right by you. Thev private waterfall is incedible - you feel like you are the only one to have ever been there. Such a great place.

Interiors were beautiful and so was the setting. Breakfast on the terrace was memorable. Quiet and serene environment.

On the outside the cabins look a little dated and shabby but once inside they are very cosy and comfortable. We had Cabin 15 and the views all around were of the forest and so peaceful. For the visiting birder Sachatamia is an excellent choice with plenty of action going on around the fruit and hummingbird feeders. It’s possible to get some wonderful photographs. There are plenty of trails to walk around for those that want some extra exercise. The food was probably the best we experienced in our 10 days in the Mindo area. Needless to say all the staff were warm and friendly.

With mountain views, Bellavista Cloud Forest Lodge & Private Protected Area is set in Tandayapa and has a restaurant, a shared lounge, bar and garden.

great location, good outdoor facilities (hammocks etc), really nice & well stocked bar. rooms booked weren’t available so had different rooms to what was expected.

Fantastic situation, it is at only 8 minutes walk from the village Mindo on a flat road.... In Mindo we could rent electric bikes and electric quads to get around.... The suites are surrounded of nature ans we were delighted of the colibris, toucans and colorful butterflies flying around us... the pool and the jacuzzi are very clean and pleasant.... the breakfast was very nice as well

This property is absolutely beautiful. A few minutes walk from town, the common area and rooms are stunning and we felt so relaxed and well taken care of during our stay. Margarit and her staff were all so lovely and helpful with making recommendations and booking tours/taxis. The breakfast was delicious, our favourite of the trip so far.

We stayed at this spacious apartment primarily because of its location in a quiet area. What we didn't expect was the amazing birdwatching opportunity right from our windows. During our stay, we observed numerous species including hummingbirds, toucans, and tanagers, all without having to leave our room and even bed. The property provides binoculars and a telescope for guests, which we found very useful for observing the birds in more detail. The peaceful surroundings really allowed us to enjoy the natural environment. The walk downtown took a little bit of time, but we enjoyed the exercise and it was very enjoyable walk. When returning, we usually took a taxi which only cost $5. This accommodation would suit nature enthusiasts who prefer a quieter location over being in the city center. We particularly appreciated being able to watch the local wildlife while relaxing in a comfortable settings.
