Friendliness and kindness of all the staff - especially Josslyn and Margarit. Josslyn organised a bird spotting tour for us late the night before. The room opened up to the rainforest - really special! Comfortable beds and great shower. Very good breakfast. Wonderful dining area open to the rainforest and gorgeous hummingbirds! Secure parking for our motorbike.

I echo all these superb reviews on here about the host, German. He was truly exceptional and such a gentleman. He was friendly, attentive, informative and available to help. He kept me informed when he was going to be unavailable and spent time explaining things to me with my limited Spanish skills. I spent some time trying to spot a toucan and German spotted one within five minutes of asking him. He even took a bug out of my room for me (Gracias, German!). Great location in the middle of the forest, surrounding by raw beauty and birds flying all around you. It is also within walking distance of the Tarabita cable car and next to the Tangeras reserve. A pair of binoculars and a telescope are also available along with filtered water, hot water and a range of herbal teas. Rooms were basic but comfortable, great value for money and small discount offered with extended stay, laundry service (washing machine and dryer) also available for a fair fee. I’m very grateful for this truly memorable stay!

Esther was an amazing host! Helped out with a spider. beautiful surroundings in the forest and really nice food. it’s out of town, so you need a taxi, but we loved the location. Saw 6 toucans and so many hummungbirds

My stay at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary. The food was incredibly delicious; every meal felt like a special treat. The staff was exceptionally accommodating and attentive, truly kind and caring individuals who make this place what it is. The atmosphere of the hotel is simply breathtaking. One of the highlights of my stay was the soothing massage I received—it was so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep. Everything about this EcoLodge was exceptional. The food, surroundings and room were all wonderful. Matteo our host set up some wonderful birding trips for us. The walk to town was 5 minutes. The hummingbirds in the garden are beautiful. Mindo is a wonderful village with so much to do. Birding, waterfall hike, chocolate factory tour and butterfly garden visit were all great.

Beautiful place to stay at a perfect location. Just minutes away from the main square you can feel totally emerged by nature. There’s a well kept garden with lots of spaces to sit, you can enjoy the river flow past you and see hundreds of beautiful birds pass by. Breakfast is good and service is incredibly fast and pleasant. Obviously would come back here!

This is one of the best hotels we stayed ever. Marco is super kind, helpful and very passionate about this place and everyone that is coming there. If you go to Mindo you HAVE to stay there! The pool area is very nice, the food is delicious, it‘s even in walking distance to the city center and the cable car to do some great hikes. Marco will also support you planning your days.

What a treat! The hummingbird & wildlife show every morning with breakfast was fabulous. We even spotted a toucan! The rooms were comfortable and parking space was provided. Staff was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

Private house just a short walk from the town center. Very comfortable, clean, and spacious. Nice backyard with sitting area. Secure parking garage attached to the house. Small grocery store next door with fresh baked goods in the morning.

I didn't have breakfast. The property was very nice, very close to the main street in town and all the restaurants. I loved the balcony but it was loud at night as there was music from a nearby bar pounding until 02:30am. I had free parking under a covered parking lot and that was great as it was raining there. The bed was very comfortable and the "suicide" electric shower worked very well with hot warm which often is not the case.

This is one of the best hotel. The room is clean, spacious with free parking. The view is great. Marco the manager is the best manager of the hotels we have ever stayed. The breakfast was excellent. The birds are everywhere. David, the owner is very helpful. Highly recommended.
