Such a fantastic taste of paradise. Everything at subtropica is done with love and skill. The breakfasts are superb, the pool is crystal clean and perfect temperature, the grounds are gorgeous with healthy beautiful plants growing everywhere. We were lucky enough to meet the owner Antonio, who helped us fulfill all our plans in mindo! Thank you!

The property is spectacularly set within a natural jungle in the cloud forest. The host, Giovanny is wonderfully responsive and friendly. The property is immaculately maintained and very comfortable. We had a beautiful 4 day stay in our dome on the hill. The property is very quiet and peaceful. Transportation to and from the center of Mindo and to attractions is very easy and affordable by taxi. Giovanny was very helpful in arranging anything we needed during our stay and he had really great suggestions for our time in Mindo. He offered transportation to and from Quito at a very reasonable rate and we took him up on the offer. He provided a very comfortable and enjoyable ride from Quito to the property and he even made a stop for us at the center of the world. We would definitely come back and stay again.

Our stay in Margarit Boutique Hotel exceeded our expectations. The central communal space was wonderful, with a close up view of the hummingbirds feeding a few feet away. Margarit gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our beautiful room which was far more gorgeous than expected. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were exceedingly helpful. We booked a Bird Watching Tour that Margarit organised for us and it was everything we hoped it would be. The location of the hotel was also excellent.

Beautiful location! We weren't sure from the map if the road went to the cabin, but it did. (The road goes past the cabin location to the cable cars.) We hiked on the very nice property paths every day (one goes to the river and another leads to a waterfall) and enjoyed being immersed in nature. It was about a 10 minute drive to town. The host German was very friendly and helpful!

Lovely, large and modern apartment, which was spotlessly clean, in an excellent, quiet location near Mindo town centre. It is in a safe and secure complex, looked after by the manager Ronny, who was really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he was always around to let us in or out, including for our early morning starts for bird watching trips at 5am! We had the "family apartment with balcony" which provided a relaxing private sitting area, overlooking the peaceful inner courtyard, which has a small pool. The apartment also had a kitchen with a 4 gas burners, a microwave oven and large fridge freezer, as well as flatware, and a few cooking pans and utensils. The kitchen was very handy for us to prepare meals, although the complex does offer breakfasts to purchase. In Mindo, there is a mini-market 5 minutes walk from the hotel which sells a good range of food and alcohol, and many other shops as well.

The apartment was amazing with an incredible view overlooking the forest. The hotel was located very close to the main section of town - we chose to mostly walk, however taxis were available if needed. The food was very nice, both breakfast and dinner. The room was great. Location was awesome, as it was enough out of the center that it was quiet and more of a "private" feel. There is a river that runs right along the property that is amazing to dip in on hot days. Breakfast was so fun, right next to the river and great food!

We stayed at Las Terrazas de Dana for 4 nights. It is a real oasis! Our room with the terrace was very nice. The garden is beautifully landscaped and you can watch hummingbirds and other beautiful birds from your own terrace. The breakfast is rich and delicious. David is very helpful and friendly. Marco and Freddy are also always concerned about the well-being of the guests. The whole staff is very friendly. We had also booked a bird tour through David. The tour with our guide Natalie was very good. We were able to see many birds. David also arranged cab transportation to the airport for us. The cab ride was pleasant and relaxing. We would definitely book this accommodation again and can only recommend it.

Personnel was so helpful and kind. We got upgraded to the superior suite next to the river, I must say this was a magical place. You can open all the curtains and wake up between the trees. De view is spectacular, and important: river was kept clean. Breakfast was delicious and a lot :) I could have stayed here a week :)

What a treat! The hummingbird & wildlife show every morning with breakfast was fabulous. We even spotted a toucan! The rooms were comfortable and parking space was provided. Staff was very kind and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

excellent place to stay in Mindo, with hot water, good internet and safe parking spot for the car. all very clean and big comfortable beds. rooms have access to terrace. the hostel is located next to the river in the forest you wake up with the songs of the birds .The best coffee served for breakfast. Asem and his wife are the best hosts you could imagine. we felt immediately at home

Private house just a short walk from the town center. Very comfortable, clean, and spacious. Nice backyard with sitting area. Secure parking garage attached to the house. Small grocery store next door with fresh baked goods in the morning.

I didn't have breakfast. The property was very nice, very close to the main street in town and all the restaurants. I loved the balcony but it was loud at night as there was music from a nearby bar pounding until 02:30am. I had free parking under a covered parking lot and that was great as it was raining there. The bed was very comfortable and the "suicide" electric shower worked very well with hot warm which often is not the case.

The hotel is new, modern and well equipped. Delicious breakfast with low cost. The staff provides 24 hours good services and very friendly. It has its own private parking and safe. It's the best hotel in Mindo that we have visited.

This is one of the best hotel. The room is clean, spacious with free parking. The view is great. Marco the manager is the best manager of the hotels we have ever stayed. The breakfast was excellent. The birds are everywhere. David, the owner is very helpful. Highly recommended.
