The 400 year old castle is a stunning building in a beautiful location. The experienced and friendly staff provided excellent service. There was a wide range of natural and delicious food at breakfast, and dinner in the restaurant was first class. The extraordinary reception rooms in the old building available for guests were atmospheric and full of character.

The location is perfect for a relaxing and quiet recharge and connection to nature. The grounds were beautiful and the rooms look out onto pasture land where I could watch wildlife. Also, the place is far enough from most sources of light pollution that I saw the most stars I've seen in YEARS. Odense is about half an hour away by car for dining options or you can cook in the kitchen with a full stove/oven, or grill. The owners are so welcoming and clearly love their piece of area history having restored the buildings and quite proud of the intact millworks with a double wheel.

We stayed only one night here but wish it was more. It’s a very beautiful home and garden. We both had the best nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing and so nicely served in the garden room. Linda and Peter are wonderful hosts and we highly recommend staying here.

This is such a beautiful charming house, on the beach, with view of the water from every window and Lara is definitely the most amazing host I have ever had the pleasure to meet.
