It was a super cozy stay. I was welcomed shortly after arriving in the evening. Even tho the restaurant was fully booked I was able to have my truffle pasta in a more quiet area. Which I appreciated after a long day of work training. The staff was amazing. They helped me while I was not feeling so well in the morning.

Having travelled extensively and stayed in many high-quality places around the world, I have rarely—if ever—encountered hosts as gracious and genuine as Herr Maier and his team. The setting is beautiful, with both the rooms and the restaurant offering stunning views over the lake and surrounding forest, which is perfect for long walks and exploration. The food was consistently excellent—whether at breakfast, lunch, or dinner—and animals were welcomed with open arms, which we truly appreciated. But what truly stood out was the exceptional hospitality. Herr Maier and his staff showed unwavering attention to detail and went above and beyond for their guests. When we ran into trouble with a flat tire on a bank holiday, they bent over backwards to help us, and we were incredibly touched by their kindness. We are deeply grateful and thoroughly impressed—and will most certainly return.
