Karole is absolutely amazing. The apartment is on a family estate, it’s beautiful and very well furnished. We felt at home, far from the tourist area, in nature. We saw a lot of toucans and other amazing birds. Thank you so much. We had a blast!

The host Carol is a very friendly, talkative person. I couldn’t find the property because of the heavy rain and my phone didn’t have reception. I called Carol from a nearby restaurant and she came over to pick me up. Her property is pretty new, very clean, the rooms are generously big.

Ernesto the host and the vibe of the place. The story behind the place is heart warming and gives you positive feelings. The hidden river is a must, you can swim and chill in the middle of the nature. Ernesto helped us a lot, gave us explanations about animals around and place to visit. He even gave us advices about the best itinerary to take to go on our next stop. Lovely place, kind person, touching encounter.

Magic silence to summarize in two words. It is a wooden cabin near a waterfall. The noise: the waterfall. This if the sound of waterfall can be called noise. The atmosphere is peaceful and the place is, aside from the beauty, very clean and good bed. They have a sauna too. The staff was very helpful and they recommended the best guide: Olman. Ask for him if you book there. By the end it is a SPA hidden by the foots of the Volcan Rincón de la Vieja. It was really easy to finde with Waze.

The lodge itself was fine, a bit basic but it was very spacious with a nice deck. But what really makes it worth your stay is the beautiful garden!! Birds everywhere such as toucans, aracari and parrots but you can also see horses, lizards, butterflies and more. Elias is a really kind host who helped us book a wonderful night tour and we can also recommend the breakfast. Rio Celeste is just around the corner. Overall really great value for your money!!

Such a wonderful setting. The jungle! The toucans! The beauty! Perfectly clean gorgeous chalets. We loved it! And amazing perk toys for the little one to borrow.

We absolutely loved our 5 night stay with Lusbeth, Alfredo, and family in the rustic cabins surrounded by their beautiful gardens. A generous, delicious, homemade breakfast was included. There was even home made passionfruit jam and fresh juice from their own fruits. There were many colourful birds, including toucans. They gave us a free night tour of their garden to see the frogs and other critters. They helped us organize activities and were genuinely kind. Our cabin was clean and comfortable with enough beds for 5 people. The kitchenette was a welcome addition so we could cook our own meals. I recommend supporting this local family by staying with them when you visit the Bijagua area and Volcanoes Tenorio and Miravalles. Great location, nice parc and lovely hotel. Roger was always willing to give advices and smiling just like his wife. We had access to the pool(s), inside and outside and even to the kitchen for the fridge.one of the best place to rest between 2 hard hikes.
