Amazing stay in beautiful house. The terrace has a Chorotega roof and there is a beautiful Pool. There are beautiful plants around the house and sweet lights along the path. It is surrounded by fields and nature and there are lots of birds and iguana's.. Alicia and Monica are very very kind and willing to help with everything. Monica even made me breakfast so I could taste the traditional Chorotega food. They made me really feel at home. It is very special to stay in Guaitil village. The pottery is excuisite and if you stay more days you have change to visit all the shops and see the different styles. They use still the old traditional methods to make the pottery. The people of the village told me a lot about the pottery and the symbols. I did a multi-day-pottery workshop with Andy, so I could see the whole pottery proces. Also I visited Don Juan from 'Sol de Vida' in the village next door to learn about medicinal plants and the old Guanaste foods. Which is very interesting since this area is the actual bluezone area. I can really recommend to stay here, it was an unique experience I will never forget.

The facilities are fantastic with A/C that keeps you nice and cool. The hot tub and outdoor lounge area are fantastic after a busy day. The location is handy right next door to a fantastic food truck park with multiple amazing options. The location is surprisingly quiet for being at the back of the food park and we enjoyed an hour or two of peace and quiet with a drink after a busy day. Would fully recommend this as a chance to stay in a truly unique accommodation in a great spot!

We loved that the beach was right in front of the property. Alejandro, the host, was super kind. Communication was quick and he helped us with everything that we needed. He made our stay (2 adults, one 5 year old and a baby) very comfortable. Parking is right on the property. If you are interested in fishing, the beach is amazing to catch some nice fish: there are roosters, jacks, trigger fish, blue runners, mangrove snapper and more... Locals there know how it's done and fish there daily. They are kind and can help you out. If there are plenty of sardines in the water, safe your time with artificial lures. Get some sardines and fish on the bottom. You won't wait long for a bite ;)

The owners were having a pool built at Miniapartemento el Guanacaste, so we took up their offer of staying at their other property, Casa Brisa Marina (also on booking.com), to which these comments relate. Diego had very good English and was exceptionally helpful. I had very good WhatsApp communication with him and he made useful suggestions about things to do. The property was in a good location for exploring the coast - we particularly liked Playa Conchal, Playa Junquillal and the boardwalk to Playa Avellanas. Casa Brisa Marina has 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Plentiful supply of hot water for showers. Well equipped kitchen - particularly liked the 2 ring induction hob. Unfortunately the oven wasn't working while we were there. Good outdoor seating. Bed was comfortable. Lots of electrical sockets.

Probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in. You can see the beach and pool from your room. Great location to watch the sunset. We were basically alone at the beach. If you get bored from the beach right in front of the property there's another one a 30min beach walk away (also with an all day open bar/restaurant/coffee shop). Dave is super nice, made delicious breakfast and helped us where he could.
