Had a wonderful stay & experience! Super friendly & warm family! It was a pleasure discovering your finca. Place is gorgeous, located in the middle of the forest. Gardens are vast, lots of flora & beautiful wildlife (lots of birds, parrots, hummingbird).. It was a nice little break. Cabin is huge, it is rustic but it is nicely equipped with everything you might need. I shared a dinner with the family & the volunteers helping on the farm, delicious food cooked by the mum, it was lovely. They were very helpful, arranged a last min night tour with David Garro that was great for herping & photographing wildlife. It felt good to finally feel like sharing with locals & experience it. I would highly recommend anyone this place if you wish to get immersed in the culture and find some quietness & nature.

Jorge was waiting for us at the gate and helped us with our bags and showed us around the apartment and the grounds. Jorge was incredibly helpful with showing us where to eat and the next day giving us a lift to the bus station and helping us with our tickets, it would have been a long winded experience without his excellent English. He’s a fantastic host.

We had a very nice time at Morpho House. Due to a last minute cancellation, we had to reserve the house on the very day and Valeria was quick to respond. She also sent us all the useful information. Having been welcomed personally on arrival, we also had a personal check out. There is everything you need in the kitchen as well as a pleasant sitting area. Besides, the bathroom and bedroom are spacious. Altogether, a very comfortable house in a quiet area: we would strongly recommend staying there.

The location was remote which made it so special, quiet and enjoyable. The home was immaculate and very comfortable. The facilities at the site were exceptional (swimming pool, ping pong, hiking trails, community garden...)

We stayed here as need a stop before going on to Drake. The staff & bbq were so lovely. the rooms perfect for a stop over & great to be in a local non tourist town in CR. Do try this place , super cute , great food - Top chef & again lovey staff.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cocodrilo, which is why we have extended our stay twice. Stephanie, the owner of this beautiful place, is wonderful and goes above and beyond for her guests to make them feel at home and make sure they have everything they need. When we told her that we are vegan she acted promptly and even prepared a vegan breakfast for us which changed daily. Stephanie loves what she does and takes time for her guests, which we really appreciated as in this way we got a glimpse of Costa Rica's culture. On top of this amazing personal experience the place and facilities have always been immaculate and the bed including the pillows were very compfy, which was often not given in other places we stayed in Costa Rica. This location is great to take a tour to Corcovado Nationalpark or through Central Amerikas biggest Mangrove Forest and Stephanie helps to organise them if you need help. You can also get this location by bus as there is a local bus from Palmar Norte several times a day. Tip: simply let the bus driver know that you want to get off at Cocodrilo in Sierpe and he will stop just in front of the hotel. All in all, it is a fantastic place to stay and also to hang out in the pool or hammocks. We highly recommend Cocodrilo and would stay here any time again.

Great location on the way to Drake Bay. Nice an comfortable with AC in the whole house. Well equipped kitchen. But most of all, very lovely hosts who can even help with transportation to Drake Bay and tours.

The combination of a fantastic location (in the middle of the jungle, with animals all around), excellent premises, and last but not least the World's greatest and most hospitable hosts (Gail & Brian) made this our first stay in Costa Rica truly unforgettable. We would love to come back someday, and now that we have done a lot of the "must do's" on the South Western Pacific Coast of the country, we might just take Gail up on her offer to join her yoga classes, or go for another crazy ride with Brian in his buggy to enjoy the abundant local waterfalls.
