Magical. Beautiful setting with magnificent views. The owners went out of their way to make sure we felt at home and showed us around this amazing hotel they had built. We only stayed a night but with more time you can explore the many trails and waterfalls on their estate. The road to the hotel was unmade but that was no problem, just slow.

Highly recommend stay at Villa Elenita!!, initially had booked for 1 night but extended our stay as the Villa was ideal, great value , exceptional for facilities and really caring hosts, Gilberto was very helpful and genuinely guest focused, communication was clear and always attentive, the Villa has been constructed in such a practical, comfortable way and attention to detail, everything works and makes for a great stay! Tranquility. We stayed in the main lodge half board. Lovely food. Wrong time of the year for parakeets and no monkeys in the area but lovely birds, basiliks and frogs. Great quiet trails to be on your own.

What stood out the most is the friendliness of the staff. The hotel operations manager is a GEM. The villa had a really cozy style, and was very spacious. The hotel is right on the beach, and we made the most of it. There was never more than 10 people around, for kilometers. Absolutely dreamy. The hotel pool is so warm, you could spend hours in there. Highly recommend the ceviche at the hotel restaurant, it was by far the best ceviches we had in Costa Rica! There are no nearby restaurants or bars, but honestly didn't bother given that we found really tasty and decently priced options at the hotel. We'd absolutely go back here for a few relaxed days.
