Time really stands still in this beautiful oasis on a hill. The stunning view over the forest, accompanied by the chirping of various birds, is enhanced by the frequent rainbows that form daily due to its location between different microclimatic areas. What an amazing place! The cottage is easy to reach, yet you feel completely immersed in nature. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and the complimentary coffee was such a treat. Sitting outside, you overlook the beautifully maintained garden, and the host, Anna, even lets you know when sloths are spotted in the trees—a truly unique and wonderful touch! In the area, we loved relaxing in the thermal baths, hiking up the Miravalles Volcano (challenging but so rewarding!), and visiting Rincón de la Vieja. We also took plenty of time to simply unwind, which fit perfectly into our travel plans. On our way there we passed by Rio Celeste, another absolute highlight and well worth a day trip.

We started with a room that was to close to the restaurant. Then you hear the kitchen extractor and the smell on the balcony. The room was further oké. But we asked if we good have another room, which was fixed directly. This room was even bigger and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The restaurant has fair pricing and the food is really good. The breakfast was delicious and the staff super nice. Just book you will have a great time here.

Owner was very accomodating. Breakfast was delicious and chef Isabel was delightful! Visited nearby "Aqua Celeste." It was lovely. The pool is a nice size & safe depth for children. In my opinion, this property is a little too big & kind of expensive for just 1 person. It would be great value for a big family or couples vacationing together.

Excellent location in a beautiful garden. The owners are such a nice people. They ofered us a free night walk in the garden to see night animals. Garden with all trees and flowers is magical. The apartment is cosy with a small kitchen. Breakfast is delicious. We hihgly recommend Jardin entre Montañas.

Our stay was an exceptional experience. Roger and Rose were super kind and helpful giving ideas for places to visit, where to eat etc. One of the highlights was the breakfast, every day with fresh fruit juice and varied costarican food. Malekus is located in a stunning location surrounded by nature at its best. Definitively highly recommendable!!
