Perhaps the best value for money hotel I’ve stayed in. Very good location, great breakfast with fresh fruits and delicious juice, accommodating staff, coffee and tea available at any time, and the best of all, free access to thermal baths that are absolutely fantastic. Location is actually in the protected natural reserve. 350 hectare park contains well designed flower park full of colibris, primary forest, water fall. We stayed in a separate building, with direct view to Arenal and the forest: at the morning, one could watch all the birds: tucans, colibris etc. You have to walk through a hanging bridge to ghe restaurant, which has a marvelous view. The hotel organises free walks on the marked forest tracks, one can see buttetfliea, frogs, birds, spider monkeys. There is a 20 m metal tower that rises above the trees. When we were in the tower, a group of monkeys passed below us. Swiming pool and jacuzzi is right in the forest. Restaurant is fine. Upon arrival, towels were organized into a snail shape 😁

Beautiful resort with lush gardens. We just liked everything about it. The rooms are clean and comfortable with nice terraces facing flora and fauna. The restaurant provides pleasant seating and a good breakfast. The (thermal) pools and jacuzzis are very nice and relaxing. We also enjoyed the happy hours at the pool side. An important point to mention is the very well trained, pleasant and helpful staff. Would definitely go back there for a stay in La Fortuna.
