The hosts were really lovely and let us leave our luggage on the last day so we could spend the day at the beach. It's walking distance to the beach. They lend you back-pack beach chairs! Brilliant idea!...even if you do look like a tourist!! lol!! Teh attention to detail in the room was lovely... the kitchen appliances and utensils were really nice...even the mugs...good quality rather than the cheapest, so you felt it was a luxury stay! I was shown around everything when I arrived. It really was a wonderful stay and I highly recommend it.

El Colibri is a true hidden gem a hop skip and jump from the amazingly beautiful Playa Carrillo. This is our third stay at this wonderful hotel. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt welcomed and treated as family. The room was spacious and exceeded our expectations. The beds were comfortable, and the little kitchenette had all the conveniences to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The two pools were just right for a dip to get out of the midday sun and with the beach a mere five-minute walk away was so convenient for an early morning swim and walk. Breakfast, which was included, was a choice of local or American with a la carte choices as well. We had dinner one night at their wonderful restaurant where my steak was done to perfection. Did I say we had a wonderful stay? :-)

Amazing place, great amenities, great pool. During the night you can really see all the stars. The host Erin, is a wonderful host. We kind of got stuck in the middle of the night on our way there since we had some issues with the car rental. The host came for the rescue and picked us up in the middle of the night. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Best accommodation in Costa Rica so far. The location is perfect just next to the beach, free parking, amazing breakfast. They just help in whatever you need in any moment, good communication with the owner and the people working here. Very relaxing and the value for the service you get is just perfect. The owner and his wife are hands down the best hosts I have ever had. He creates a great atmosphere at the hotel and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Breakfast made each morning was spectacular Room had great AC and wonderfully warm shower There is parking onsite It is so close to Carillo beach which is so much more tranquil than Sámara Beach. But within a short driving distance of Sámara if you want to go be part of the things going on over there!

The hosts are really nice and always willing to support in case of any issues. The accommodations are equipped with a convenient bed. Everything is new, in good condition and very clean from bathrooms to the common kitchen. There is sufficient parking space on the property and you are virtually in a big forest with plenty of (palm) trees.
