A beautifully restored vintage home in a garden setting and tastefully decorated. Martha and Art were more than forthcoming and did their outmost to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. And that goes as well for the amenities as for their delicious homecooked breakfast. Furthermore, the location is very convenient.

The Hillside is in a perfect place to visit Digby and a great starting point for day trips. The owner was exceptional. Very friendly and helpful in all regards. The breakfast was one of the best we had on our trip. Just great. The house and the rooms are renovated but kept in the original style which makes it a perfect place to stay. We would come back anytime and can only recommend this small pearl in Digby.

Didn’t have breakfast, but had great dinners. The location is very picturesque with views of the fishing fleet. The wait staff was super friendly & accommodating.

Our room was light filled and comfortable. We loved the large outdoor pool, so clean and in a lovely setting. As we had to leave before usual breakfast time Greg arranged for us to have ours early, thanks again for that Greg. The food was delicious. The hotel is in peaceful and pretty surroundings.

Rooms were large and clean in the middle of nature, a minute walk to a boardwalk path that led to several spots with a table or pair of Adirondack chairs overlooking the river and falls A picnic table outside our backyard was great as was the gas grill behind it that we used to cook supper, A communal kitchen nearby had everything needed for meals and was a meeting place for other guests. They provided free use of canoes on their lake. The National Park was 5 minutes away

The view was amazing with a private balcony over looking the Bay from which you could see the ferry terminal at the other end. The staff were environmentally conscious with a recycling and composting program, which I really appreciated. It was only 5 minutes from shopping in Digby and about 10 minutes from the ferry.
