We had an absolutely wonderful time at Emily’s house! The house is not only beautiful and very cozy, but also perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need – and spotlessly clean. We also enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace and simply taking in the peaceful atmosphere. What truly makes Velvet Fern Guesthouse special is the thoughtful and loving attention to detail: everything was personally and carefully prepared for our arrival, including a lovely breakfast and bikes we could use – such a kind touch! The room was spacious and comfortable, stunning view from our 4th floor window and it even had a coffee machine which was just a lovely touch. The breakfast was the best continental/hot breakfast combo options I experienced during my trip through Vancouver Island. They even had a pool which was such a treat after 2 weeks traveling. Loved the place. Stunning areas like Campbell River, Oyster River and Elk Falls are less than an hour's from there.
