Sitting on the deck and enjoying the beauty of nature Pick up by boat to Lamanai archeological reserve was also a wonderful examination of the local flora and fauna.

Lovely place by the river where we could spot few beautiful crocodiles. Place has bar and restaurant and can organise tours which is very convenient. All the people there were super friendly.

In the middle of the jungle, just a 1 minute walk down to the river, very spacious room and comfortable bed. The staff was above and beyond. Travis at the reception is such a knowledgeable, friendly, caring and funny guy. He gave us all the information we needed to make our stay unforgettable. He’s one of a kind and we are truly happy that we’ve met him and stayed at the Mayan garden. Make sure to do the Lamanai river boat trip to the Mayan temples. The breakfast is also super delicious and John makes the best juices from scratch. Super friendly guy and great options for vegetarians. We can highly recommend staying at the Mayan garden. Ricky is a great host, very friendly and willing to help in any way he can. Very well equipped kitchen and cutest dogs! Shop on site with products at correct price, no overpricing as seen in other hostels. I would definitely stay here again!
