My partner from the Netherlands and I had a wonderful stay at the Izvorat Hotel in Arda! Set by a small river, the hotel features unique architecture, spotless spacious rooms, a modern bathroom, cozy lounges, and a Rodopski-style restaurant decorated with local artifacts. We loved the outside placed stone-and-metal tables. There is a TV/reading room, and even a jacuzzi. The hotel's owner Vladi made us feel at home, and people around were very friendly. The restaurant food was excellent—we stayed four nights, explored much of the menu, and still didn’t try everything! Izvorat is a gem in the mountains and an ideal base for adventures. With other guests, we joined Menko’s jeep tour deep into the Rhodopi Mountains, visiting the Mogilitsa and Peak platforms, the Geranitsa complex, and the Tipitseto cave. We visited on our own the Uhlovitsa and Golubovitsa caves. The last was unforgettable: wading through water, boating inside, and capturing once-in-a-lifetime photos. Other highlights of our trip included a zipline near Golubovitsa, a boat trip through the Gorlo Canyon, and a hike to the Kaleto fortress. On a rainy day, we explored the Ottoman-era Agushevi Konatsi in Mogilitsa, then watched a planetarium film in Smolyan. In just four days, we packed in countless experiences. Izvorat Hotel is not only a relaxing retreat but also the perfect gateway to Bulgaria’s caves, hikes, jeep tours, and cultural gems—right at the Greek border.

Everything :) Very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment. Checkin was smooth and we were also provided with a private parking spot. The host was very helpful. The location is perfect - everything you need is at a walking distance while at the same time the house is on a very quiet street.

Loved the hot tub, the water was hot and plentiful, and the jets were strong. The room was very large and warm even though the weather was very cold. The bed was large and comfortable. The pancake breakfast was tasty.
