This place was our favourite stay in Albania. Marcelo and Anda are amazing hosts and made us feel welcome from the first moment. Everything we ate is farm to table and in every detail we can feel that they put love in what they do. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had the best sleep. The wine was incredible. The breakfast so generous. I can keep on going.. You leave this place with a warm feeling in your heart. Away from the over touristic areas but close to many beautiful sights. We wish you all the best and if you ever come to Crete we will be very happy to see you Marcelo and Anda!

A hidden GEM waiting to be discovered. The pictures posted on the hotels website and booking.com do not give it justice! Imagine after checking in the hotel, you come down from your room in your swimming gear, head down to the hotels reception, who will provide you with a big towel on your way to have a quick swim. The cath is that the hotels swimming pool is basically a natural river that passes directly in front of the hotel, surrounded by mountains and nature all around. The owners of this guesthouse are communicative, flexible, and kind. They provided a delicious multi-course, traditional meal with very short notice on my day of arrival. The bed was more comfortable that mine at home and the view from my room was incredible. Everything was a short walk away - restaurants, the bazaar, the castle. Note: It's important to be aware that it's a very hilly town and you will be walking up or down almost all the time. I saw many people with walking sticks - definitely a good idea if you are at all concerned.

Very welcoming host. Room was decorated nicely and clean, albeit with no view. Private parking on spot. Breakfast was really good. Overall we had a great stay in Gjirokaster and would reccomend the place to others.

It was close to the old town so very convenient for eating out/exploring, but was also set away enough that it was nice and quiet.

Hotel Gjirokastër is located 300 metres from the centre, in a part of town famous for numerous museums.

The rooms, including towels and sheets, were exceptionally clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and hot water working perfectly. The location is excellent—right next to the bazaar and castle, making it ideal for exploring the area. The breakfast was fantastic, and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

Beautiful building 200 years old, dating back to the Ottoman era. Its a family-run hotel and the hosts are simply wonderful—warm, kind, and genuinely caring. They go above and beyond to help their guests with everything, and you can really feel that it comes from the heart. The rooms are spotless, smell amazing, and the bathrooms are well-equipped and thoughtfully designed.

Gorgeous luxury apartment. All elements inside and out are of high quality and pleasing. The heater worked amazingly well. The views from the big balcony were beautiful. Breakfast was filling and served in a small room beside the main house. Gardens were immaculate. Beds were very comfortable. So nice to have enough beds and still a couch for relaxing. The bathroom was also very well appointed and brand new! We loved everything about this stay. The best stay of our 2 month trip so far! Thank you to our gracious hosts!
