Some free drinks were provided in the room fridge along with some simple snacks (chips/crisps). Bathrobes, pajamas and quality toiletries are also provided. The staff was very courteous and helpful, always using a translation app when needed to ensure a clear understanding. Local cafes and restaurants can have odd hours or closing days, so just be aware. The Indian restaurant above the nearby Lawsons was very good, as well as the crepes in the cafe next door, when open. A visit to the local tourist information center was very helpful. The hotel reimbursed our taxi fees from the train station upon arrival and welcomed us with a glass of wine or juice, which was lovely. They also provided transportation back to the train station after checkout.

Satoshi and Elizabeth are so kind and helped us out hugely during our stay. Satoshi is an AMAZING cook. The food was incredible, so I definitely recommend having dinner at the inn! The room was super comfortable, it was great to have our own little kotatsu and the baths at the inn (both inside and the outside one with the forest view) were divine. If we are ever back in Nikko/Japan we will definitely stay again!
