View from our room was also great and the sound isolation is very good.

Simply the best accomodation I have experienced anywhere! Our stay with Maki, her Mother and Kenta dog was relaxing and magical after a week in Tokyo and Maki does absolutley everything to make you feel welcome and at home with her gentle, warm hospitality, The Ryokan itself is an elegant traditional building and is beautifully kept. The amazing Kaiseki dinner and breakfasts that Makis mother presents every night are a wonderful way to experience traditional japanese food after a relaxing onsen bath. Maki was simply the best host, she even drove us up to the start of our walk trail and booked our lunchtime soba restaurant. The local area is breathtaking even in late autumn / early winter and a walk around the shrines is enough to fill a very pleasant day, Wel ove you Maki and we will be back!

We had a birthday celebration and they prepared a lovely cake for us. We had such a wonderful stay that we are still reminiscing weeks after our trip.

I would whole heartedly recommend this place to everyone, but especially to other tourists who actually want to immerse themselves into real Japan!
