Less than 5 min walk to Nijo castle. The public onsen was absolutely lovely. Very luxurious and a fabulous facility to relax in after a busy day sight-seeing.

The food was excellent, and the onsen was fantastic – with plenty of toiletries and extra products available for women. The host was also very kind and welcoming. We travelled by bus from Tokyo and arrived quite late, but that didn’t spoil the experience at all. I’d definitely recommend staying here at least once.

The guy at the reception who checked us in was fun and friendly, and spoke good English.
