The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, our waitress for our dinner was very fun to converse with, along with everyone else we spoke with. The dinner was very well made, the facilities were beautiful, and our rooms were everything we could’ve asked for. The location is also excellent in the middle of everything, allowing for an easy walk around Kurokawa.

The property is pretty much hidden in the mountains and only accessible by car. The rooms are spacious and feel luxurious. We stayed in the house with both indoor and outdoor private onsen and it was lifechanging.

Everything was amazing and very relaxing. Excellent location, accommodation, Onsen, staff, food, everything!

Boasting various indoor and open-air hot spring baths, Fumoto Ryokan offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation with a historic charm. It is surrounded by serene greenery next to a river. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public area. The vibe is amazing, staff is very friendly from the moment you arrived the hotel. Their staff are very skillful that they can parking our big size car, don't be afraid to ask them to park your car. Food is amazing and all kind of varieties, and do not need to worry about the hotspring, they have so many on site.

39 km from Mount Aso, Yamashinobu features a recently renovated 4-star accommodation in the Ota Onsen district of Minamioguni. The ryokan provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath, public bath and open-air bath. The ryokan offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. It was great to have basically our own private apartment with both indoor and outdoor baths. The rooms were immaculate and the service was first rate. There are many baths, private and public, to use for free and you are also able to visit their sister location nearby and use their baths (I think for a small fee). The food was great and the drinks selection was significant.
