Very peaceful surroundings with a foot bath right out side our room. A very clean, spacious and traditional Japanese style room. The futons were nice and thick, making for a very comfortable sleep. Our host was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.

Overlooking Kagoshima Bay, Hakusuikan boasts an outdoor pool and a variety of spacious indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths, including a Sunamushi sand hot-spring. The whole experience was wonderful. Dinner was abundant, onsen facilities were great and the room was huge!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The house is brand-new with a modern design, and our room was spacious, spotless, and included a tatami-floor bedroom with very comfortable beds. The host was so kind and always ready to help us with anything we needed. One of the highlights was the private onsen, which was very relaxing after our long day. The location is also fantastic: just a short walk to a beautiful lookout point and the famous Hirauchi Kaichū Onsen nearby. We truly enjoyed our time here and will definitely come back if we visit Yakushima again!

Amazingly, when I arrived early to check in, a friend of his who was working on construction nearby helped me check in 😆. I think that speaks a lot about this place. The locals are friendly and kind, and will go to great efforts to ensure you enjoy Ibusuki. My host texted me with many great recommendations, and he responded quickly to all my questions. The apartment was very clean, had a calming aesthetic and a wonderful view of the ocean. You can rent a free bike very easily from the host and you'll have a great time exploring the immediate area. This place is specifically attractive to people who want to relax, enjoy scenery and participate in the culture of an ocean-side town. You will not regret booking a stay here.
