The onsen, the food and the staff. The facilities were very good. There was pick up and drop off to the ferry and you’re not very far from ropeway.

This location is a bit outside of Hiroshima, but very easy to get to by cab or train. The facilities were beautiful, and our room was comfortable with very thoughtful amenities and a beautiful private onsen. The main lobby has bountiful snacks and an incredible sake selection, as well as tons of other beverages that we could help ourselves to as we pleased. Both of our meals were so delicious, much more food than we were able to eat, and our whole party got to share a private dining room with an open hearth. This was truly a wonderful experience, and I would recommend anyone to book here and make the trip!

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The pictures are exactly how it appears in the photos but it’s so much better! The ryokan is beyond amazing. The room, the view and location was spectacular!

The hotel is featured in Michelin Green Guide Japan 2013. A free shuttle is available from Hiroshima Station, a 30-minute ride away. The staff were brilliant, the view from our room stunning, location for Mirojima perfect, getting into the city easy bus stops right by the hotel. Breakfast was plenty of choice and the view from the dining room to die for.

During the summer, guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and Beer Terrace on the Seaside Deck. Aki Grand also has a public hot spring bath and sauna. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Really enjoyed the private onsen time. Also the night cruise to the floating torii gate was spectacular.
