Dinner was good and subsequently during check out i left my luggage at the counter to explore the town more before my train. When I came back and wanted to leave, staff provided me with a lift to the train station. It was raining at that time and the lift was appreciated despite the train station being quite close by. Excellent services by the staff here and I greatly appreciate it. Definite recommend.

This recently renovated ryokan is located 1.8 km from Shoin Shrine and 3.2 km from Hagi Station. The ryokan features family rooms. Very beautiful ryokan near the Hagi Castle Town with free parking. We booked a Japanese-style corner room for 3 nights and had a large garden to ourselves. The garden in the common area is also very beautiful esp at night. We opted for half board our entire stay and were very impressed with the food! The menu was different every time and we found ourselves anticipating what they’ll serve for the next meal. One of the meals they served was an all-puffer fish meal, which is arguably one of the best and most unforgettable meals of my life. The staff were also very warm and helpful up until the very moment we left. Definitely worth making the trip to Hagi just to stay here.
