Small and well run family onsen ryokan with in house small outdoor and cave onsens which are private in the afternoon of check in and public by gender the next morning. The top floor room named "Maple" has wonderful view of the colourful vegetation on the mountain side and small water feature at the bottom. Owner operator is very attentive and service oriented. Highly recommended!!!

pretty much loved everything - from the environment, to the staff, food, rooms, onsen - it was my best stay ever! there was construction work happening around the ryokan at the time of our stay and we were notified of it well in advance but honestly it really didn't hinder the great experience!

The dinner orepared by on site chef is a flavor adventure not to be missed! Everyone from chef to staff are talented and communicate well in English. They provided complimentary yukata and sandles to explore all of the local onsen. Also complimentary were passes to the onsen and a discounted pass to the ropeway leading up the mountain with a Michelin star view. The traditional wood architecture of the rooms were warm and comfortable. I would stay here again, and recommend it to anyone.

Extremely good service, very beautiful lobby and our japanese styled room was both fancy and cosy. Dinner served to room was great experience and delicious and server was helpful guiding us with the food. Private onsen was highlight of our stay. The staff was extremely attentive to our needs. They were accommodating with our dietary preferences and even had a car bring us to the station for our train. The food was excellent. There was also English speaking staff, which made it accommodating for tourists like us. We tried all three of their private onsen baths and loved them all (especially the Kirara bath). Maya was our go-to gal and she did a superb job of bringing us our food, managing the room, and providing us information about the food whenever we were curious. An extra bonus, the toilet lights up and greets you up on entry into the bathroom, playing a nice morning tune while you use it
