Perfect location with enclosed balcony overlooking the river, within easy walking distance of all seven onsens. The attentive service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, including catering for us being vegetarian. The ryokan and room were stunning and the private onsen a treat!

So peaceful and relaxing from the moment we arrived. Off the Main Street which adds to the tranquility but still super close to everything as Kinosaki Onsen is tiny. The staff were attentive and lovely, with excellent English. The private onsen was lush, as were all the public ones that we tried. We found the futons to be very comfortable and slept well. In fact we overslept as we had planned to visit an onsen before breakfast but ended up enjoying a lie in! We upgraded to the Tajima beef meal and it was exquisite, probably the best meal of my life. This was a much more pricey hotel than I would normally choose, but was excellent value for money for a unique and luxurious experience.

There was a spectacular view from our room across the river, the onsen has an inside and outside onsen. The volume of food served in our room was impressive as was the range in the buffet for breakfast. You have a free pass to all of the public onsen and they are all diverse so try them all! The town itself is pretty with the river though the middle

everything was perfect. Clearly a five star hotel, no doubt about that. Their onsen must be my favorite by far. They also set up and collect the futons super quickly and quietly. Not to even mention their views. The lobby is gorgeous. Looks like something straight out of a movie. I only spent one night there, but I believe I could easily not get bored of it even after a week of just staying inside and never leaving the facilities.

It was a true japanese ryokan experience. The inner garden with koi carp was lovely, all the services were flawless and as a special treat we already (end of October) had a kotatsu in our room :) Both the dinner and breakfast were nothing less than a feast.
