The place was so nice it was like being in a movie. There are very few guests so it is very quiet and I had the ofuro all to myself twice. The food both dinner and breakfast was beyond anything we have ever had. Took a ton of pictures.

Very charming and cozy hotel. Amazing view from the window, private onsen. Very tasty food - we had both dinner and breakfast. The hotel and the city surroundings had a very nostalgic feeling.

The room was as advertised. The staff service was great. They explained how to use the amenities in the room when we arrived and gave us sweets/tea. There was a dining table with 2 doors, 1 at the entrance way and 1 at the living room so the staff doesn't need to pass through the living room to serve you food (for privacy reasons) which I thought was very well designed. We were able to select 3 yukatas for the 3 nights we stayed here. We didn't use the public onsen because we had a private one in the room so no comments on the onsen they have. The tatami room was huge and spacious. The bed was great. Aircon was easy to use. The private open air bath was well decorated with plants.

The hotel is directly linked to the shopping street so it is really convenient (and not noisy at all). There is parking close by so you can easily leave your car. You are in the city center and close to a lot of the town attractions. The breakfast was really nice.

It was extremely well located. The hotel onsen was the best we’ve had so far on our trip (we’ve been to about 6 onsen) and better than the Dogo Onsen which unfortunately was under repair at the time of visiting. Nice touches like free sake after your bath, free mini snacks and providing little towel and soap sets to visit Dogo Onsen with. Good free toiletries too! Breakfast was amazing.

The most good part of this hotel is those staff. All of them were so kind. They made my stay as best as they could assist. Also, location, right next to Dogo onsen(I didn't use there, yamatoya's hot spring was amazing), if you go down, shopping street is there. Old Japanese style wooden structure is beautiful.

Positives - nice room. Very clean. Onsen hot springs is beautiful, the outdoor bath is very relaxing and the whole area was always very clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Very good location for shopping, bars and restaurants and the tram line.

We loved the onsen here, hot springs, cold bath and sauna all offered, preferred to Dogo area. Room very small and no outlook from our room but in a great location and clean. Lots of restaurants around and close to tram line which makes for ease of getting around

Loved the room and comfy beds. Had enough space for both of our small suitcases and bags. Didn’t use the shower room as we went to the onsen multiple times. Just loved the natural hot spring baths, there was an outdoor one as well. Do note that they have a strict NO TATTOO policy.
