Amazing comfort with great views, exceptional breakfast and dinner buffet. Multiple open-air and indoor public baths, a sea view lounge with free soft drinks and coffee 24 hours a day, snacks etc in the evening. Beds are 5-star quality. Plenty of space in the room, modern amenities. Sea view is postcard quality. Wifi is good. Plenty of sockets in the room. There are souvenir stores with a wide range of local goods. Buffets are splendid value, with Japanese and Western dishes made to order in front of you, self-service international cocktail and wine station, comparable to Turkish-style ultra all inclusive. There is an English menu. Hotel is within walking distance of the JR station, but there are also taxis queuing when a train arrives. Close to attractions in Matsushima Bay. Hotel has a fleet of bicycles and e-bikes for reservation.

From checking in to checking out the process was excellent. All relevant information was provided verbal and written on a hotel brochure in English and Japanese. Buffet breakfast and dinner were included in the price and buffets were very good. Location from Takenouchi station was about 800 metres from the hotel. The onsen was very good. There was welcoming drinks 🍸 from 1400hrs to 2300hrs. In the morning there was soft drinks and coffee. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The hotel did provide a shuttle service to the Matsushima station at certain times.

Staff spoke amazing english, extremely kind to help us reserve restaurants and send our luggage through ta-Q-bin. Willing to hold on to some luggage until we needed it to be sent. It's just less than a minute walk from subway station exit north 6 (if one can find the exit). Entrance is along a shopping street next to Ichiran. The name on Google map seems to be different from booking.com. Tons of eateries around. Mini marts are a stroll away. Extremely convenient. Easy access to the subway and train station. Staff is friendly and efficient. Check-in was easy enough. Capsule is comfortable. Every capsule has a locker good for day pack or slightly bigger bags. Ain't good for big luggage. Anyone with a big luggage will have to park their bags along railings and secure it with a rented cable lock. All capsules are on the second floor and the onsen on the third floor.

Amazing old fashioned hotel! Everything from the entrance, elevators and rooms was very quaint. We felt very grand while staying there. Great location too.
