My parents and I have enjoyed everything there. Highly recommended place to chill and relax with partner, friends and family. The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

Amazing stay in the magic town of Arima Onsen, incredibly helpful staff assisted us in checking in in an amazing traditional yet modern structure. Super clean with a very large bathroom and tatami bedroom, great services provided and magic feeling of traveling back in time. Highly recommended!

Amazing private onsens and best service from staff I’ve ever received. The shuttle service is great - if you want to walk around the town or grab dinner (their recommended restaurants are delicious), they’ll drive you to most places in the town and pick you up. Breakfast is fantastic.
