We loved our stay at Yuyado Sasakura. The location is super convenient, just about 7 minutes on foot from Kinosaki Onsen Station (even at my slow pace hehe). The room was really spacious, we were three girls and had a cozy tatami area to sleep, a walk-in closet, and a little sitting area by the window with a view of the charming street leading to the river. Every room has its own fast Wi-Fi, a toilet, sink, and even a fridge with a freezer. They also left us bottles of water, which was such a kind touch. There is no shower or bathtub in the rooms, as mentioned on their website, but that is part of the Kinosaki Onsen experience. There are many public baths nearby, and they also offer the option to reserve a private onsen for 45 minutes (I did not try it this time because after a full day of soaking in hot baths I was ready to melt 😂). The owners were incredibly sweet and helpful. They provided yukata, shoes, and a small bag for the onsen-hopping tour, as well as a pass valid for all public onsens for 20 hours. They also explained how to wear the yukata, and there was an iPad in the room with illustrated instructions, which was super helpful. There is no elevator, so if your room is on the second floor like ours, I recommend coming light. We left our suitcase in Osaka and only brought a backpack, which was perfect. Many hotels offer luggage forwarding for a small fee, or you can easily use the lockers at the station. I wish I had taken more photos, but this place truly deserves a visit. Beautiful inn, perfect location, and the kindest hosts imaginable.

The staff was amazing, very nice and always helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and every dinner was different. The food was delicious and the meals were big. The onsen was great and the mini bus driving you to town center during the day was very convenient (city center is also not that far it was just nice to have an option to also get a ride). No notes, would stay here again.

We booked the suite and I'm telling you it really was worth the money! :) We visited a more modest onsen earlier and this was like a luxury version of it. We were truly relaxed after our stay. I've never seen a hotel room so beautiful and never had a dinner like that before! Breakfast was luxurious too, japanese style. We reserved a private onsen on check-in and it was so lovely also.

Everything. The staff is super friendly (shout out to Ayuri!!) and the service is wonderful. The kaiseki meal was so interesting and delicious and there was even a welcome tea. The private baths are amazing too and we never had to wait to use them, you definitely don’t need to go outside to the public baths. Our room was beautiful and relaxing and the futons were super comfortable too. We also got a framed picture as a gift!

There was a spectacular view from our room across the river, the onsen has an inside and outside onsen. The volume of food served in our room was impressive as was the range in the buffet for breakfast. You have a free pass to all of the public onsen and they are all diverse so try them all!
