Absolutely incredible stay. Everything was exceptional. The staff were so lovely and helpful; the breakfasts were beautiful and a true work of art; the personal onsen in the room was such a great experience; the lounge downstairs with local wines and sake on tap. They’d truly thought of everything to make our stay special, including Aesop products, pajamas and a speaker to enjoy our time in the room.

It was idyllic - we felt immediately at peace after walking through the doors, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive yet not intrusive. Given there’s only 3 rooms, it was quiet and felt like you had it to yourself but there was a buzz in the evenings at dinner.

The dinner was delicious, highlight of the stay. Open air bath was great too. The staff here were wonderful and attentive, they were really helpful for us English-speakers. We would absolutely stay here again.

The setting is a nature paradise. It's a bit out of the way, so you need to take a taxi to and from the Takitei. It's well worth it for the peace and quiet. The Kaiseki dinner was outstanding, but the breakfast not so much. The staff were so polite and helpful, we felt like royalty! The onsen was wonderful and the two lounges where you can go and sit with a coffee or tea, or wine and sake in the evening were nice touches.

The staff was fantastic, kind and accommodating. We booked a queen with a single bad, and when we asked to change it and get one with two beds, it was immediate and fast. The Onsen was beautiful, clean, with free treats once finished:tea coffe, ice cream. Breakfast good and plenty. I truly recommend this hotel.

The host was very welcoming, the rooms were nice, clean and for Japan pretty big. The kitchen had everything we needed. Mikawa is a pretty but very small and quite city, the house was conveniently located close to the train station.
