We had an exciting, wonderful one-night stay at this beautiful and luxury Ryokan hotel, which is situated directly on the seaside with a marvelous sight on the sea and the Japanese Alps in the background, directly from our room and from the traditional hot Onsen bath (open the whole night!). The dinner and the breakfast in your private “séparée” were extraordinary, Japanese kitchen at it’s best, and the personal of this family-run Ryokan was extremely friendly and accommodating. They have also a bus shuttle from Kagaonsen railway station, which is a stop of the new Shinkansen prolongation opened only in March 2024

A nice traditional place with original features and adorable attentive staff. The property itself was much bigger than what we expected - it was a villa over the two floors rather than a usual suite. There is a view over the garden and a private onsen in the villa - one inside and one outside. We’ve been served a traditional Japanese dinner and a breakfast in our dining room - a real treat!

We chose this luxury traditional hotel to end our two-week trip in Japan. We were not disappointed. Our room included half board. The room itself is spacious with an outdoor Onsen facing the greens. This place was a big surprise almost at the end of our trip: you enter the lobby and some (paper) cherry blossoms fall down ... The very nice room had a view towards the river. The lobby has many features from sweets, to rice cakes, plenty of choices for a yukata (yes, big sizes, too!) and soft ice at night. The private baths are nice and need a prebooking upon arrival for the afternoon and evening. Should have stayed more than one night ...

This hotel was a very pleasant surprise in many ways. It's a thirty minute shuttle ride from Kaga Onsen Station (be sure to reserve the shuttle ahead of time). We reserved a room with our own open-air bath, which was awesome! It was very relaxing. However, the best was yet to come - the public outdoor onsen was THE BEST we've been to. Very nice and the view in the morning is gorgeous! We decided to have an early dinner. This hotel is a little bit different from other hotels that serve dinner, but it was interesting and actually nice. You help yourself to your own drinks (except sake) and tempura - but you can drink and eat as much as you like. For breakfast, you help yourself to your drinks and salad. Although the food is good, it is nothing exceptional. There were several delightful surprises which we immensely enjoyed. The first was the taiko drums performance in the lobby in the evening. It was AWESOME!! Eat an early dinner so you will finish in time for this performance. We enjoyed a pudding snack while waiting for the taiko performance. In the morning, tokoroten was provided. Both snacks were great! If you have time, take a walk through the little onsen town. Although it's small, it's quite nice and interesting.
