It has only been built for 4 years and is new. The location was excellent a short walk to the main street. The Com is attached to the Pub the Commercial Hotel so could pop in for a drink or a meal if you liked. The building design was quite different with separate motel rooms(almost a tiny home) separated by empty garages on two levels Our room had lovely afternoon sun. Plenty of parking and space. Built in front of the big rock cliffs of Whakatane and the Tuis were very busy in the bush in the morning - lovely.

Situated in the heart of Palmerston North, Hacienda Motor Lodge offers accommodation nearby cafes, restaurants and bars. Free unlimited WiFi and free on site parking are available. The location was great with good cafes within walking distance, and the hosts were wonderful. There was a coffee capsule machine and toiletries as well as chocolate/sweets after room servicing. It was a comfortable, quiet room with good kitchen and bathroom facilities.
