In between Sigiriya and Kandy we slept in Arangala Forest Lodge for two nights and it was absolutely incredible. The accomodation itself was stunning and peaceful. We switched to a cabana with jungle view, which was a great choice. We could see monkeys while laying in bed and slept great because of the silence. The manager and staff were super friendly, professional and helpful. Lovely people. There was a lot of personal attention; they helped us arrange a safari to Wasgamuwa and even prepared a take away lunch. When we got back, there was a local surprise waiting for us. 😊 The food was great too! As it was off season, we had the pool to ourselves, which was a nice privilege. At the end of our stay, the manager dropped us off at the bus station with his car. In conclusion, if you’re looking for some luxury and calmness, this is the place to be!

We loved everything about our stay here… Anjula and Madhu greeted us like family on arrival and they looked after us our whole stay. The room was spacious, the food (breakfast and dinner) was incredible! And the views - of Pidurangula and Lions Rock- were spectacular from the rooftop cafe area. We loved all the little details like the breakfast being pulled up on a rope to us on the rooftop terrace. Anjula even organized some cricket to be played, he showed us how to get, cut and drink the coconuts from the garden trees and the family even put on some music / singing for us after dinner. We were very sad to leave.

Beautiful view, nice swimming pool. The area was beautiful and clean. They also offer free bikes.
