The hotel was very clean, and the staff was kind and helpful. They were always ready to assist with anything I needed. The breakfast had a good variety of food, and everything was fresh and tasty. I especially liked the hot coffee and fresh fruits. The location was perfect because it was close to many shops, restaurants, and public transport. It was easy to explore the city from there.

A previous review suggested 12/10 and they were absolutely right. Beyond that, Inoka and family go out of their way to make you feel part of the family. We’ve visited many places but the genuine kindness and desire to make your stay memorable here ranks among the very best.

This property is a hidden gem nestled in the lush hills of Kandy. The peace and serenity it offers are beyond words. The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and offered stunning views. The staff were warm, incredibly attentive, and made us feel like family. The food was delicious and freshly prepared with local ingredients. It’s the perfect place to disconnect and relax in nature.

We stayed at Simpson’s Forest – Luxury Boutique Resort & Spa in February 2025 and had a truly memorable experience. The location is absolutely stunning—set among lush tea plantations and forested hills, it’s the perfect retreat if you’re looking to relax and disconnect from the busy city life. The double room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food throughout our stay was excellent, with a great mix of local and international dishes. The value for money here is exceptional, especially considering the level of service and quality of the facilities. The staff were a major highlight. The front desk team were warm, professional, and very helpful. A special mention to Wasantha at the restaurant—he was incredibly kind and accommodating, making each meal feel like a personalized experience. The only small downside is that the resort is located about 45 minutes by tuk tuk from Kandy city center, which can make getting back and forth a bit of a trip. That said, the peaceful setting more than makes up for the distance. We highly recommend Simpson’s Forest to anyone visiting Kandy and looking for a scenic, peaceful, and welcoming place to stay. We would definitely love to return!

Aarunya Nature Resort has free bikes and an outdoor swimming pool in Kandy. The property features a fitness centre, as well as a garden. The accommodation provides a shared lounge and free WiFi. Extremely kind staff, exceptionally clean hotel.
