Pretty much everything was fantastic: the location is unbeatable, the room was insanely spacious, the ameneties are incredible, the rooftop terrace was the cherry on top. The people working there are helpful, patient and friendly, the food is wonderful. It is expensive but you absolutely get your money's worth.

Highly recommend booking dinner and breakfast. Gorgeous views. Lots of snacks in the hotel lobby, relaxing places to wait for checkin and out. Walk to everything - food, ferry, temple and gates. Wonderful ambience. Don't just catch the ferry for the day - stay on the island It's unforgettable.

Guests can relax in the indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths and request for massages. A free shuttle is available from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, which is also a 5-minute walk away. Beautiful property. We had the half board with multi course traditional Japanese meals. They were amazing but yes, pricey. We wore our traditional Japanese. The hubby used the Osen and said it was fabulous. I didn’t go as I stayed with our 10 year old daughter who didn’t feel comfortable doing it. The staff was helpful and courteous. We left our bags with them on the day of checkout and they brought us to the ferry around 14.30.

We were upgraded upon arrival, the room was gorgeous, big, with a Tatami area, a wooden bath and very very stylish. Highlight for me was the view of itsukushima shrine from the room! The onsen in the roof was wonderful! The staff were so kind and friendly, seemed genuinely curious about us. If you come to Miyagima stay here! You won't regret it!

The staff was terrific! So helpful and kind. We loved all of our meals - they were delicious, plentiful, and creative.
