Best night sleep I’ve had in a very long time.

The area is surrounded by stunning fells to explore, and Dove Cottage, the home of William Wordsworth, is 15 minutes’ drive away. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

The guest house is very safe and secure, which made me feel 10x more comfortable on my first solo trip. Each stylish room has fresh light décor. Nice staff, great breakfast, cozy rooms, a perfect location for exploring the Lakes. Happy to be there again.

Impeccable staff - the Spanish lady in the reception especially was amazing! Breakfast selection was nice and fresh! Location was close to everything, a Tesco right in front, bike rental shop, cute little stores, etc. Quaint rooms - lovely view of the town! Facilities - the outdoor hot tub was great!

High ceilings in this traditional stone-built house give rooms a light, spacious feel. Beds are adorned in Egyptian cotton linen and there are also TVs and free Wi-Fi in rooms. Comfortable, clean, great location! Wonderful breakfast and host!

The property's dining room mixes traditional and modern dishes based on locally sourced products. Dishes feature Cumbrian game and locally caught fish.

The bar has an open fire, and the lounge has a warming fire and stunning views through the picture windows. We stayed in Room 10. We loved the comfort, the view and the facilities. The breakfast was delicious

Location excellent, beautiful house, comfortable bed and super pillows. Amazing quality breakfast. Great friendly, highly efficient staff. Would definitely return. Our apartment was well-stocked, spacious and clean, with an amazingly comfortable bed and fantastic shower. The location is great for walking, and parking was really easy. We really felt like it was our home from home for those few days. Will definitely be returning.
