Pool Port Douglas Resort offers a selection of elegant, modern apartments, all spacious, self contained and nestled around a glittering, 185 metre central swimming lagoon. We had a wonderful stay in a 2-bedroom swim-out apartment, which was perfect for our family. The space was thoughtfully designed with plenty of storage, and the beds were super comfortable. It’s a little further out of town, but we appreciated the quiet, peaceful surroundings. The staff were warm, helpful, and made us feel right at home. A real highlight was the excellent café just a short walk away, serving delicious breakfast and lunch with beautiful river views—we went every day. We also loved relaxing on our patio each afternoon and stepping straight into the pool.

Proximity to the main strip as well as the guarded section of 4 mile beach made it perfect for a family trip. They even had floaties and toys for us to enjoy. Wish we could have stayed longer

The room is so clean and have everything we need to stay for a couple of days. If you stay for a long time you could easily refill toilet paper or laundry detergent from grocery store or from reception. Kitchen utensils are enough for the whole family, salt, pepper , oil and spices are all in the cabinet. The location is great, you could walk to the beach, the port to take cruise, and main Street to have food! They also have a pool with table , bbq facilities, fridge on the side. Swimming kicking board, noodle and balls are all provided. They even have a basket in the pool for throwing balls into. It’s such a relaxing place for couples and families with children!

Set on over 140 acres of native forest and boasting a private beach, Thala Beach Nature Reserve is an Eco-friendly wildlife retreat. Loved the privacy of the bungalows. It was peaceful and serene.

The apartment was very nice and comfortable in a good location to walk to the main street or the beach very easily. It was nice to have space to spread out and to cook our own meals.

What a stunning place. From the moment we arrived, this beautiful apartment felt like a true home away from home. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the terrace was a real luxury, and the entire space was spotless and so well equipped. The swimming pool was massive and absolutely fabulous—such a lovely extra touch that made our stay even more relaxing. We’ve traveled to many countries and stayed in countless places, and I can honestly say this is up there with the best. Communication was excellent throughout—our host was always quick to respond, even to my smallest questions, and that level of attentiveness made our stay feel extra welcoming. The location is also perfect, with a stunning beach just a short walk away. We genuinely didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return!
